Our time in Botswana looked like this:

The first week, we learned Evangelism Explosion Africa (EEIII) – this is an evangelism program used by my home church and throughout the world.

Hut to Hut Evangelism:

-We focused on building relationships with people and sharing the Gospel and our testimonies

     * My group met with Ghomeo (Homo). She had recently begun working at the village hardware store Lion’s Den. She is 22 years old. Homo had completed high school but did not test high enough on her exams to get into college. She had a home church but did not go often. She had a pocket New Testament that she started to bring to work, for our visits.  We sung worship songs together, read the Bible, answered and asked questions, shared stories about ourselves, built a relationship and shared the Gospel with Homo.

Family lunches prepared by Estelle, out host – she would prepare lovely South African dishes, each fay was like Thanksgiving!

Children’s Ministry started off with free play (jump rope, tag, climbing trees, soccer, etc) then moved into Bible Story time with songs, memory verses and crafts.

We would prayer walk throughout the village of Seronga, talking with people we met along the way and stopping for visits.
