test

Monday afternoon through Friday our session were given by different people on the Adventures in Mission staff.  They gave us some logistics information and shared their knowledge from when they were on the World Race.

*I learned from my Briggs Myers test that I am an ESFJ: Extravert, Sensing, Feeler, Judging.  Basically I thrive on people, I use compassion and value people’s feeling when making a decision and the last area I would say I am more 50-50 between Judging and Perceiving when decision making.  The difference is being controlled when planning an activity (Judging) and being lose with the schedule (Perceiving).  Here is a quick read if you’d like to learn more about what being an ESFJ looks like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESFJ

*How to live a Successful race:

Leave – your entertainment addiction at home and be present 100% where you are.

Live – dangerously, do what you don’t want to do and earn your exhaustion.

Love – the Lord with all your heart, soul and strength.  Honeymoon with the Lord for 11 month!

* The Kingdom Journey

Abandonment – Matthew 10:9-10

Brokenness – Matthew 10:17

Dependence – Matthew 10:19

Empowerment – 1 John 5:11-12

*Feedback

Positive and Constructive feedback

Positive is something like: “I really appreciated that you opened the door for me because it shows how much of a servant heart you have.”

Constructive feedback looks like “I love your personality and the way you show compassion and love for others but I have noticed you are gossiping about others behind there backs. If you have conflict with someone, the best thing to do is to talk with them about it.  If you need help doing that, I can help you. I want to see you have the best relationships possible.”

Response is always THANK YOU

Feedback is vital to helping each other grow into the Woman/Man of God that He wants us to be.  As we use feedback daily, we will be helping to mold and refine each other for the Kingdom!

Every day we faced real life situations for our living conditions.  We spent a night on a bus, a night tarp camping in the wilderness, a night snuggled together with 14 people in an 8 person tent, sharing all our belongings because of lost luggage and using the woods as nature called.  Each of these challenges, brought our team closer together as we had to work to find solutions, people were pushed far beyond their comfort zones.  We came together and praised Jesus through the pain and found joy in Him and our bond together as a squad!

Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy, from camp:
