Sweet Potato is such a character! He loves to talk about his life, crack jokes and ask questions. He has been a resident at Maramba Old People's Home for more than 10 years when he was deported from Zimbabwe. 

He was born in Zambia, then Rhodesia and traded/taken to Zimbabwe to work in the minds. He had a wife and children and built a life in Zimbabwe with them, where he worked. Once he applied for help as he got older, he was deported back to Zambia, without his family. He found the Home and was welcomed. 

His story is not the only one of being separated and deported back to Zambia at the Home. 

Sweet Potato loves to read the Bible and talk about Jesus.
