The Little Drummer Boy has long since been a favorite Christmas carol of mine for a few reasons:
1. I grew up poor and did not have monetary gifts to give to God
2. I play the drums
3. In the 6th grade, I was given a solo at church to play the drums and sing the Little Drummer Boy on Christmas Eve
4. I have learned that everything we do can be an act of worship and therefore a gift to God and that’s how I life my life!

Would you believe Drummer Boy is my fav also! and for some of the same reasons. My son played the drums and I believe that self is the best gift we can ever present to GOD!
This year I keep listening to “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” I love the scene from Meet Me In St. Louis where the family is going through hardships, but they choose to see the positive and enjoy the season of Christmas!

I have 2 favorites and love to listen to every singer/band singing their renditions of O Come All Ye Faithful and Joy to the World. Love the lyrics and the music of both. Love the line in O Come All Ye Faithful of “O come, let us adore Him” and the line in Joy to the World of “Let every heart prepare Him room.”
Oh! and I love to hear gifted singers sing O Holy Night! 🙂
