As I pack my backpack with a tent, sleeping bag, clothing, Bible, journal and toiletries I am excited to meet my squad, squad H aka World Rice! I will be leaving within the hour, to drive to Marietta, GA to spend a few days with 22-24 of the girls on my squad. I am looking forward to meeting everyone in person. Facebook pages, chats and Zoom video conference calls are great but there is nothing that can replace face to face time. My squad mate is letting us camp out at her home. We’ll all share meals, swim, talk, paint nails, make tutus and flower headbands while getting to know one another. What a blessing this pre-game time will be. Don’t worry, the guys on the squad are not left out. They are meeting up today and hiking 30 miles for a few days of bonding time. I am grateful for a squad that understands the need for relationship building!
We’ll head over to Training Camp in Gainesville, GA on Saturday. AIM is a bit ominous about what TC entails but I think that is all part of the adventure, to be prepared for anything. I’ve posted a short video about TC. We will be at TC from the 12-19.
Please be praying:
Traveling mercies for the more than 200 people coming to Training Camp (there are 4 squads, 50 + people per squad)
Unity for the squads. Relationships to be built.
Fundraising.
Hi
thinking of you and praying for strength, stamina, and that God will show Himself Mighty on your behalf. Blessed to be a blessing…!
Hope things are going well! I’m enjoying the photo updates but definitely wondering about the tutus and flower headbands…
Thinking of you and praying…
Isaiah 40:31 those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Praying that God is your strength and your shield, your peace, joy and delight–May His Face shine upon you and be gracious to you
Mindy,
Thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers. I will be posting a blog about training camp today or tomorrow. I greatly appreciate your support!
Hi Tina
Thinking of you and praying for you as you leave the states and head out into the world with the Gospel of Jesus.
First of all–thank you for going and serving, for making disciples. Tonight you would have been so proud of our church–evening service was all about being a missions minded church. We are with you! We pray God will protect your health and give your team unity and supernatural love and patience. We pray for God’s great name to be famous and for His glory to be manifested though you all. Loveyou
